Sue McLennanSue McLennan is our resident expert on all things good for the environment and an Engineer to boot. Kindergarten kids as well as multinational corporations find her captivating and compelling. She helps clients identify the improvements that give the biggest bang for your buck on becoming a little more green. With about ten years in manufacturing and significant experience in safety, change management, and training, she knows her way around a plant as well as a boardroom.

Aside from being an Engineer, Sue is a LEED Green Associate as well as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) as accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). The AEE’s certification programs are recognized by government agencies such as Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Office of EnergyEfficiency (OEE), US Department of Energy (DOE), and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and by leading corporations, utilities, and energy service companies. Her satisfied employers and clients include: Buckman, Weyerhaeuser, Bombardier, Alberta Newsprint Company, eLogic, Tembec, Irving Tissue, Meadow Lake Pulp and Paper, Provincial Papers, St. Mary’s Paper, Kruger, and Bowater. Sue has recently been named to the Environmental Committee for the town of St. Lazare, Quebec where she resides.

Lora Smith excels in translating your detailed business requirements into strategies and systems, as well as in developing marketing programs with the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. Ensure your green message is getting through?  With an MBA in her back pocket and diverse front-line experience in market research, online and offline marketing strategy, sales, change management, and training development and delivery, Lora Smith has over 15 years of experience and plenty of ideas to get you ready for the next boom.

Lora has worked directly in transportation and logistics, marketing services, and IT services. Her satisfied employers and clients include: CN, Aeroplan, PNH Innovations, Target Marketing, Thermo-Solutions, Atlantic Lottery Corp., Tourism Newfoundland and Labrador, Marine Atlantic and Rogers Cable (formerly Cable Atlantic Inc).  Lora is also Chairman of the Board for the Ecomuseum Zoo located in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec. 

The Power of Partnerships

We have a slate of associates and partnering professionals who join us to create custom teams depending the needs of the client. Two partners who are particularly active with Lean into the Green are Lianne Bridges of Bridges Horizon, a marketing transformation consultancy, and Eva Kutyla from EACH New Design, a creative design studio.

Lianne, an associate consultant with Lean into the Green, provides leadership and vision for the development of successful brands, marketing and operational strategies. By defining unique competencies, relative to competitors and key customer requirements, she helps clients maximize strategic potential.

Lianne has spent the last twenty years managing and consulting on an eclectic array of brands across sectors as diverse as business-to-business and not-for-profit, including: Oreo, Aeroplan, Bombardier, Viagra, Alcan, Kaycan,  RBC Investments, Foster Parents Plan, Southam News, Otis Elevators, PNH Innovations and the YMCA to name a few.

Eva translates brand and marketing strategy into creative vision. As a true creative spirit, she taps into every possibility, exhaustively pursuing the boundaries of the unknown to visually express your strategy.  With a masterfully crafted combination of creative themes, imagery, palettes, treatments and fonts, she provides the visual guidelines for all your brand communications.
